Rental/Sales Coordinator

Role: This role is the heartbeat of the revenue-driving operation within Daufenbach Camera.   The primary responsibility is to ensure strong customer relationships, outstanding customer service, and a superior customer experience.  

Responsibilities:

Sales:

  • Build and quote orders in rental software, negotiate pricing with the customer, and close the sale.

  • Reach out to prospective customers (Rental Customers) and to reactivate a customer base for rental program

  • Creating relationships with customers to identify their potential needs and qualify their interests and viability to drive sales.

  • Collaborating with your direct report to ensure the company's goals and targets are met.

  • Initiating contact with potential customers through cold-calling or lead generation through industry networking events.

  • Ensure successful follow through of the sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in CRM application.

  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.

  • Making payment arrangements and Invoicing orders at completion of a job.

  • Work with your Direct Report and the Social Media Manager to plan quarterly events.

Operations:

  • Collect and verify account paperwork.

  • Maintain camera crew relationships, make rounds on prep floor

  • Planning and monitoring the day-to-day outgoing rentals to ensure smooth progress to return

  • Make quick decisions on gear substitutions, sub-rentals, and any equipment consulting.

  • Evaluate and plan for gear scheduling conflicts.

  • Direct prep techs on a day-to-day basis.

  • Assist ACs with any changes to the order or swaps they may request.

  • Coordinate with the Service Department to prioritize equipment needed for turnarounds in a timely fashion or sub-rental gear for pick up and return.

  • Schedule when the customer is coming in to pick up or prep the camera equipment as well as the equipment return. 

Secondary Roles:

    • Pull and scan orders when needed.

  • Marketing

    • Planning Company hosted events

    • Identify people, products, services, and projects for social media posts.

Renewal:

This role and the responsibilities under it are subject to change.  The role will be amended during the evaluation process bi-yearly to account for such changes and realign success measures.
